Electricity cash out review: market price proposal (P212)

BizzEnergy proposal (5 pages, PDF) to set the main electricity imbalance settlement price under the Balancing and Settlement Code to be equal to a bilateral energy market price plus or minus 5 per cent (but the exact percentage value and the default price arrangements are left uncertain in the proposal). Bid, offer and BSAD data would no longer be used in imbalance settlement. ELEXON has a dedicated P212 page.

There is now to be a contest between this proposal and P211, first in front of the BSC Panel and then in front of Ofgem.
