Transmission price control for National Grid for 2006/2007
Ofgem consultation (37 pages, PDF) on initial proposals for a one-year price control for National Grid's electricity transmission business in England and Wales, to apply for the financial year 2006/2007, ahead of a five-year control for 2007-2012.
The proposals include a near doubling of capital expenditure projections and the allowance of a return on 70 per cent of the cost of over-spends in capital expenditure in the past five years. The same financing and tax assumptions have been made as for the 2001-2005 control but "Ofgem is minded to make ex post adjustments for variances in outturn tax payments compared to the allowance".
Responses by Tuesday 25 October 2005 (four-week consultation period).
