More competition interim measures against EDF

Conseil de la concurrency decision (34 pages in French, PDF) imposing interim measures on French incumbent electricity company EDF requiring it to offer terms for wholesale electricity sales which do not amount to a margin squeeze on its competitors in the downstream retail market. The Conseil is continuing its substantive consideration of possible margin squeeze or discriminatory abuse infringements.

The decision follows from the April 2007 interim measures relating to EDF's terms and conditions of retail supply, and comes days ahead of full electricity market opening in France.
