Electricity transmission system operator incentive schemes

Ofgem proposals (68 pages, PDF) for the price control on National Grid's electricity system operator business in Great Britain for the financial year 2006/2007.

National Grid is given a choice between two options. Option 1 would allow a more generous cost benchmark but claw back at least 90 per cent of any savings made by National Grid against that benchmark. Option 2 would start from a lower benchmark but allow the pass-through of at least 90 per cent of any overspend.
