NEDL/YEDL incorrect reporting of quality of service data

Ofgem statement (5 pages, PDF) on voluntary disclosures by CE Electric UK that its distribution companies had misreported interruptions and telephone response data. These data are used in a financial incentive scheme under the distribution price control 2005-2010.

Ofgem has decided to reduce the companies' allowed revenues by £2.1 million over and above the effecting of correcting the data, instead of imposing a fine that would be payable to the Government. This is formalised by proposed licence modifications for Northern Electric Distribution Limited (3 pages, PDF) and Yorkshire Electricity Distribution plc (3 pages, PDF). Representations by Tuesday 10 July 2007.
