Electricity generators' compulsory purchase powers

Ofgem consultation (17 pages, PDF) on a proposal to allow all licensed electricity generators to apply to the Secretary of State or Scottish Ministers for compulsory purchase orders in relation to land (including wayleaves). Currently the corresponding licence conditions need to be switched on by Ofgem for a particular generator before an application can be made by that generator. Responses by Monday 22 January 2007.
