Guide to rail freight grants in Great Britain
Department for Transport guide (27 pages, PDF) to the rail environmental benefit procurement scheme (REPS), which replaces track access grants (TAG) and company neutral revenue support (CNRS). The rules of the schemes are set by the Department although some applications are administered by the Welsh and Scottish governments. See the rail freight grant page on the DfT website.
The scheme has been cleared for State aid until 2010 only, and the guide states that intermodal rates (ex-CNRS rates) are likely to be lower after 2010.
