Moves towards compulsory smart metering
BERR (DTI) consultation (95 pages, PDF) on proposals to require electricity and gas suppliers to provide comparative consumption data on bills and real-time display units on new meters, and to install electricity meters with time-of-day metering and remote reading capabilities to some categories of business customers.
