Ofgem allows more reinforcement-based DG charges

Ofgem decision (2 pages, PDF) not to veto a proposal (9 pages, PDF) by Electricity North West (the electricity distribution network operator formerly known as United Utilities Electricity) to offer lower charges to generators connected at HV and LV voltages if their connection does not require reinforcement work. Generation connections to ENW's network at EHV level already incur charges reflecting site-specific reinforcement costs.
