Optional single MPAN for microgeneration (P213)

E.ON proposal (14 pages, PDF) to allow non-half-hourly metered sites with on-site microgeneration to use the same meter point administration number for both import and export. The two amounts would still be metered separately and different profiles would be used to allocate the metered amount between half hours as part of the settlement process. This administrative simplification is intended to allow microgeneration sites that currently spill electricity without payment to be remunerated for it. The proposal document reports that in January 2007 only 23 export meters had been registered under the microgeneration export metering arrangements in place since 2003. ELEXON has a dedicated P213 page.
