Mid Kent Water / General Utilities and SAUR merger report

Monopolies and Mergers Commission report into the proposed acquisition of Mid Kent Water by General Utilities and SAUR and its break-up and absorption into neighbouring companies. The Commission found the transaction would operate against the public interest by prejudicing Ofwat's ability to make comparisons between different water enterprises and that this could not be remedied. Mid Kent's management had opposed the bid.
