Proposed changes to the Public Transport Ticketing Schemes Block Exemption

OFT consultation (PDF, 53 pages) on proposals to extend the Public Transport Ticketing Schemes Block Exemption under the Competition Act 1998 by another five years, subject to some changes. The main modifications would be to permit travelcard revenues to be allocated on a basis other than passenger miles; to introduce a prohibition on certain links between multi-operator travelcard prices and individual ticket prices; and a slight relaxation of requirements for single-operator tickets to be made available concurrently with multi-operator tickets. Responses by Friday 24 June 2005.
