Ofgem response on concurrent competition powers

Ofgem response (6 pages, PDF) to the DTI/HM Treasury review of concurrent competition powers in sectoral regulation. Ofgem rejects the suggestion that it has been reluctant to enforce competition law, suggesting instead that the nature of the companies in the electricity and gas sector explains their "relatively good compliance record compared with industry at large".

As in Ofwat's response, there are references to a response by the concurrency working party of the UK regulators but no indication of whether or where that document can be obtained.

Update, 7 February 2007: OFT has released the response (8 pages, PDF) by the concurrency working party.
