Thames Water joins Ofwat's customer service fine list

Ofwat notice (12 pages, PDF) of an intention to impose a financial penalty (payable to the Treasury) on Thames Water for failures to meet minimum performance standards in customer services. This is similar to the notices served on Severn Trent and Southern, and unrelated to Thames' leakage undertakings. The amount of the penalty will be set when investigations into the scale of Thames' failures have been completed. Representations by Tuesday 31 October 2006 (5 pm).
