Franck: Quick fix for broken links to the Ofgem website

Ofgem has updated its website. This has broken all links to Ofgem documents. Ofgem has made no attempt at redirecting requests to the old addresses (despite quoting them extensively in printed and PDF documents published over the last few years).

In order to restore my own bookmarks and the Ofgem links on the Reckon website, I have designed and run a system to produce a matching table between old and new URLs. An online service enables Reckon Online users (free registration) to use my matching table. Enter the old URL, or any part of it (e.g. a file name or just a document number), and the system will locate corresponding documents on the old and new Ofgem websites.

Whilst hopefully useful to someone, this system is only a patch-up job. The proper solution is for Ofgem's staff or contractors to correct the omissions from their new site, and implement automatic redirection for old URLs. It cannot be hard to do, even on their Microsoft Office SharePoint Server system. If they have lost the correspondence between old and new URLs I can even sell them my database.
