Microsoft Corporation v Ling & Ors [2006] EWHC 1619 (Ch)

High Court judgment granting Microsoft summary judgment for copyright and trade mark infringement claims against people who had, amongst other things, been alleged to have traded in genuine loose Microsoft certificates of authenticity outside Microsoft's licence requirement that certificates must not be traded separately from software licences. The judge dismissed some competition law and restraint of trade defences raised by the defendants as insufficiently particularised and/or having no real prospect of success at trial.
