Irish electricity: future of PSO levies

CER/Ofreg consultation (15 pages, PDF) on the future calculation of the levies currently charges on electricity in the Republic of Ireland (for peat and other alternative energy sources) and in Northern Ireland (for high-cost power purchase agreements left over by the privatisation process). In both cases the levy is calculated by reference to a notional market price of electricity. The regulators propose to replace the current notional price with the values derived as part of setting the terms of directed contracts. Responses by noon on Friday 22 June 2007.
