ORR work on excessive fares under competition law

ORR letter (2 pages, PDF) to Passenger Focus stating that ORR is “identifying the circumstances under which price increases might be found to be 'excessive' under competition law” and intends to “publish the factors which would make a finding of an abuse under competition law unlikely”. No timetable for publication is given, but the letter invites a request for the work to be "shared".

The letter is dated 26 July 2007 and was published on the ORR website on 17 August 2007.
