Franchise payment profiles: SE, FGW and FCC
Page discreetly added to the Department for Transport website on Wednesday 1 February 2006 disclosing the franchise payment profiles "at time of contract signature" for the Integrated Kent (Southeastern), Greater Western and Thameslink/Great Northern passenger rail franchises. The page includes the contractual amounts (which are subject to RPI inflation, to some pass-through of revenue risk to Government in the latter years of the contract, and to the risk of renegotiation or default), as well as a somewhat mysterious concept of "present value of nominal payments".
