Ofgem decision to extend IFI and RPZ

Ofgem decision (10 pages, PDF) to extend the IFI and RPZ schemes (which allow distribution charges to be increased to cover costs associated with distributed generation) beyond 2010, and to remove the cap on internal expenditure and allow companies to propose wider eligibility criteria for the IFI scheme. This follows from the October 2006 consultation. There is no extension of the RPZ concept to 132kV Scottish networks but Ofgem will "address this in a targeted manner through a project with the TO and SO companies", combined with the transmission IFI scheme.
