NIAER review of energy efficiency levy

NIAER consultation (8 pages, PDF) on the future of the energy efficiency levy in Northern Ireland. The document raises the possibility of leaving the system unchanged, increasing it from £6 to £10 per customer per year (excluding the cost of incentives to NIE for over-achievement), refocusing expenditure away from the alleviation of fuel poverty, introducing a levy for gas, and moving towards an energy efficiency obligation imposed on suppliers as in Great Britain.
