Irish electricity: £380 million to be paid outside SMP

CER/Ofreg paper (4 pages, PDF) reporting an initial estimate of EUR 556 million for the annual amount of money to be collected from suppliers based on their actual demand and paid to generators based on their availability. This remuneration is in addition to the contract price or pool SMP to be paid for energy. This figure would represent a capacity levy of more than £10/MWh.
