Sir John Mogg wants more EU law (and more powers)

ERGEG notice (2 pages, Microsoft Word) that Sir John Mogg, Ofgem's chairman, has met European Union politicians to request "enhanced regulatory powers" for energy regulators, new EU legislation to underpin a "EU grid code" and a "central TSO co-ordination body" to oversee mandatory co-operation between transmission system operators, and new EU legislation to require ownership unbundling or structural unbundling (the document does not disclose the scope of the proposed unbundling).
