Greek motorsport: opinion on economic activity

ECJ Advocate General opinion (about 20 pages) in a case about the application of competition law to a motorsport organisation body, referred to the ECJ by a Greek court.

The opinion suggests that the body's activity should be considered to be that of an "undertaking", and that it was contrary to Article 82 and Article 86 for such a body to have “an exclusive right of co-decision in the public body’s authorisation of such events”.
