Ofgem rejects user commitment for generators (CAP131)

Ofgem decision (12 pages, PDF) to reject proposed changes to the system of user commitment for generators using the GB transmission network. Against the view of the industry panel, Ofgem considered that the various variants put forward were either useless or unduly discriminatory between the risk of cancellation of a new generation project and the risk of closure of an existing project.

Work continues on other proposals for generator commitment.
