Injunction on access to Eiffel Tower for radio broadcasting
Conseil de la concurrence decision (41 pages in French, PDF) directing French broadcast infrastructure incumbent TDF to make a wholesale access offer to other operators enabling them to broadcast radio stations from its Eiffel Tower site without suffering from a margin squeeze. The decision also prohibits (also on an interim basis) TDF from entering into long-term contracts with radio stations for broadcasting from the Eiffel Tower.
The same approach of directing an end to a margin squeeze without specifying a price was used in the Conseil's late June 2007 EDF directions. TDF's television broadcasting business is also subject to a separate set of interim measures.
