Irish electricity: decision on power exchange postponed

CER/Ofreg paper (15 pages, PDF) on progress with deciding what arrangements might be put in place to allow market participants to manage risk in the all-Island single electricity market. Options include directing NIE and ESB to set-up and use a web-based trading platform, or the procurement of an independently-run power exchange. No decision will be reached until wholesale and retail price control issues have been resolved. No further submissions are invited.
