Competition Commission final report on Yell

Competition Commission final report (several PDF files including main report, 129 pages, 2M PDF) from its market investigation into classified directory advertising services. The Commission found that market concentration, Yell's incumbency and the fact that Yell was not effectively constrained by competition were "market features" which restricted, prevented or distorted competition, and that this would have led to prices higher than in a well-functioning market if there had been no price control. Some changes were made to Yell's price control and other obligations with a recommendation for the OFT to review these remedies after three years.
