European regulators' study on regional electricity markets

Discussion paper (PDF, 122 pages) produced by the European Regulators Group for Electricity and Gas (ERGEG) on ways of creating cross-border electricity markets in Europe. The report includes descriptions of five case studies reviewed by ERGEG, and recommends "an assessment of the issues to be addressed to establish regional electricity markets", "further case studies", and that countries with existing cross-border trading arrangements should consider the issues identified by the paper to "identify any areas of potential improvement".
