Draft Ofgem investigations and complaints guidelines

Update, October 2007: Document deleted and replaced by the final guidelines.

Ofgem consultation (39 pages, PDF) on proposed guidance on the conduct of investigations into potential competition law and licence infringements. Ofgem has also announced (6 pages, PDF) that, following a review, it does not propose to implement any other measures to secure compliance with industry codes.

The draft also recalls the need for complaints alleging breaches to provide “a clear explanation of the allegation” and to be “specific, well reasoned, clear and supported by all available and relevant evidence”.
