BBC Trust approval of on-demand services (iPlayer)
BBC Trust decision (30 pages, PDF) to approve the provision of on-demand audio and video by the BBC through the proposed BBC iPlayer and audio podcasting, subject to some restrictions of availability of older episodes of television series, and a prohibition on podcasting of book readings and classical music (except where incidental). Various reporting requirements at six, 12 and 24-monthly intervals are also set out. Consultation responses and other documents are at the bottom of this page.
