Ofgem consultation on notice periods for IDNO price changes

Ofgem request (2 pages, PDF) for comments on the problems arising from the timing conflict between the obligation of out-of-area and independent network operators to give three months notice of charging changes and their charging policy to mirror the local regional network operator charges, which can also change at three months' notice — leaving no time for out-of-area and independent network operators to copy the changes.

Ofgem's paper does not put forward a proposed solution. But Ofgem's default policy seems to be to grant consents reducing the notice period to two months in respect of charging changes that replicate host network changes.
