Tramtrack Croydon v LBS [2007] EWHC 107 (Comm)
High Court judgment (about 32 pages) in a dispute between the Tramtrack Croydon concessionaire (controlled by FirstGroup) and London Buses (controlled by the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone) about the remuneration that Tramtrack Croydon is entitled to as a result of being required to accept new types of bus passes. The judgment considers the effectiveness of a side-letter which was not part of the concession contract and other questions of contract construction.
This case and the overcrowding case are in the context of a difficult relationship between Tramtrack Croydon and Ken Livingstone.
