Draft OFT guidance (31 pages, PDF) to Government departments on the competition impact assessment of policy decisions or regulatory changes.
Comment. This draft is a major improvement on the 2002 version: half the length, better focused on the potential unnecessary restrictions on competition that can result from Government action, and much less likely to mislead civil servants into believing that their proposals are fine just because the number of boxes ticked on a form is low.
