This price control is to apply from 1 April 2010. It is likely to be set for the five-year period ending 31 March 2015. It will follow the distribution price control 2005-2010.
The companies concerned are (listed by ownership group):
- CE Electric (Warren Buffett): NEDL (Northern) and YEDL (Yorkshire)
- E.on: Central Networks East and Central Networks West.
- EDF: LPN (London), EPN (Eastern) and SPN (South East).
- Electricity North West (previously United Utilities).
- Scottish and Southern Energy: Scottish Hydro and Southern.
- ScottishPower (part of Iberdrola): SP Distribution and SP Manweb.
- Western Power Distribution: WPD South West and WPD Wales.
Ofgem's review process will be parallel to the Ofwat price control review 2009.
