Franck Latrémolière advises clients on regulation and competition economics issues. His knowledge of economic regulation encompasses price controls (including expenditure/efficiency issues, cost of capital, incentives) and other behavioural obligations (including ring-fencing). In competition law, he specialises in questions of abuse of dominant position, anti-competitive regulations, and State aid, particularly in sectors with complex networks of contractual relationships and regulatory obligations. He also uses his strong skills in mathematics and computing to provide technical advice and develop tools for statistical analysis and quantitative modelling. He is familiar with the regulation of the electricity and water sectors in the UK, and with UK and EC competition law and State aid issues involving public authorities, public services, technology/patents and the media. |
Nicholas Francis |

Nicholas Francis has over seven years' experience of advising clients on competition and regulation economics, including competition analysis, the appropriate scope and structure of economic regulation, costing methodologies, and the potential for efficiency improvements. He has acted as lead consultant in projects for UK and European regulatory bodies and private-sector clients in sectors including media, rail and utilities. He takes particular interest in UK broadcasting regulation and policy, as well as the UK and European competition law on abuse of a dominant position. |

Pedro Fernandes |

Pedro Fernandes has eight years' experience of advising clients on the economics of competition, regulation and public policy, leading and contributing to projects for regulatory and government bodies as well as for private-sector clients, in the UK and overseas. He has worked across a range of sectors including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, payment systems, water and rail. He has strong academic and practical knowledge of econometric and statistical analysis, including the assessment of relative efficiency and empirical work to support policy development and impact assessment. |
