Economics advice on merger control
We can advise on the economics issues raised by merger and full-service joint venture proposals, including:
- Definition of the relevant counterfactual.
- Definition of the relevant markets in terms of product, location and time.
- Identification of the forms of competition that might be lost, or perceived by the authorities as being at risk, as a result of the combination.
- Analysis of whether any claimed customer benefits from the transactions are dependent on a full merger.
