Electricity
We understand all the main elements of the electricity supply industry and its structure in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Contact: Franck Latrémolière
Our UK experience includes advising companies and regulatory agencies on wholesale market trading and settlement arrangements, network price controls, incentives for security of supply, the design of compensation arrangements between transmission network operators, and trading arrangements across interconnectors.
We have in-depth knowledge of the systems of price control and incentives applied to electricity distribution and transmission networks in Great Britain, including efficiency analysis and incentives, rolling retention schemes, service quality incentives, the drafting and operation of price control licence conditions, and the funding of investment required to connect renewable generators.
We offer advice on network access, pricing and development issues.
Experience: Structure of electricity distribution charges
We understand the GB arrangements for wholesale electricity trading and settlement and for transmission access charging. Our consultants have experience of the development of NETA and of the analysis of incentives at the interface between system operator and transmission network owners under BETTA.
We maintain a rolling review of electricity news and developments relevant to our work.
